Carlisle Truck Nationals: August 6 - 8, 2010

The 2010 Carlisle Truck Nationals is one of the largest specialty, off-road and collector truck-oriented events in the world. Representing all aspects of the collector truck hobby will be over 2,000 trucks, everything from mini-trucks with the frames dragging the street to monster trucks crushing tiny compact cars below.

In an uncertain economy, many people are searching for an affordable getaway for the entire family. Carlisle Events answers with the Carlisle Truck Nationals - a family-oriented, action-packed event with an admission cost of only $10 and, best of all, kids 8 and under are free. Two of the standard favorites for the entire family at the Truck Nationals are the monster truck shows and rides. The Virginia Giant from the Monster Jam circuit will be at the Truck Nationals putting on shows and giving rides in the Virginia Giant Ride Truck to families throughout the weekend. Appearing for a second time will be Megasaurus – a fire-breathing, car-eating transformer. A very popular attraction in 2009, Megasaurus will be performing on Friday and Saturday in conjunction with the monster truck shows.
Being in the trucking hub of the east coast, you certainly can’t miss big rigs! Semis, 18-wheelers or long haulers, whatever your name might be for the trucks that keep America moving, will once again be at the Carlisle Truck Nationals for the Carlisle Show and Shine. Special guests for this year’s Carlisle Big Rig Show N’ Shine will be Outcast Kustoms from TV’s Trick My Truck on CMT. Kelvin Locklear and his crew roll out some of the most amazing custom big rigs in the industry. Locklear and his chromed-out long haulers will at the Truck Nationals all weekend to meet with fans.

The Trick My Truck crew won’t be the only national TV celebrity making their way to Carlisle for the Truck Nationals. Brian Fisher, a Central Pennsylvania native and star of TV’s Fisher’s ATV World on the Outdoor Channel, will be at the Carlisle Truck Nationals to promote the show, meet with fans and display some of his most “Real” trucks and ATVs.

In addition to the action of the monster truck shows for the entire family, Megasaurus, one-of-a-kind big rigs and TV celebrities, the weekend will be full of truck thrills with the famous Carlisle Burnout and Beauty contests, the Carlisle Truck Tug-O-War, rock climbing exhibitions, off-road time trials and more.
